Spend four unforgettable days living alongside a Sámi reindeer-herding family in the Arctic winter.

This is not a standard tour, but an invitation into a way of life shaped by reindeer, nature, tradition and the deep calm of the winter tundra.

Far from roads, cities and noise, Sámi winter life unfolds in one of Europe’s last true Arctic wilderness areas.

During this four-day stay, you live alongside an active Sámi reindeer-herding family and follow the rhythm of the herd, the weather and the season.

Days are slow, practical and real: travelling by snowmobile into the tundra to locate the herd, helping with feeding and winter tasks when needed, gathering firewood, preparing meals together and learning how Sámi families move with reindeer through the winter landscape. There are no fixed schedules and no staged activities — nature decides the pace.

Evenings are spent by the fire in the cabin or lavvu, sharing meals, stories, joik and quiet moments beneath the Arctic sky.

With minimal light pollution and long winter nights, there is a high chance of seeing the Northern Lights on clear evenings. For many guests, this experience offers calm, connection and a deeper understanding of Sámi winter life.
