Follow an Indigenous Sámi family as they travel with their reindeer along ancient migration routes. This is a rare opportunity to move with the herd, live close to nature and experience spring migration at the pace set by the reindeer.

Every spring, reindeer migrate between their winter and summer grazing lands — a journey that has shaped Sámi life for thousands of years. On this multi-day experience, you join an Indigenous Sámi reindeer-herding family and travel through Arctic landscapes alongside the herd, learning about Sámi culture, traditions and the seasonal cycle of reindeer herding.

There is no fixed schedule. Some days involve movement across the tundra by snowmobile and sled, while others are quiet and slow, with time for rest, photography, camp tasks and shared coffee around the fire. Each day is shaped by weather, terrain and the natural movement of the reindeer, creating a deeply grounded slow-life experience.

You stay in a traditional Sámi lavvu and share real daily life with your hosts: meals, camp routines, storytelling and safe participation in herding activities when appropriate. Depending on timing and conditions, you may experience Northern Lights, twilight nights or the first signs of the Midnight Sun.
